With a vintage collar inspired from my Mum's pattern books from the 60's, our shirt dress is named after those who have loved them before. The conversation for this design began in the shop, with the original requested as regular shirt length, however after a long held desire of around 20 years for the perfect relaxed shirt dress, our first test sample was a midi length dress. After a brief private appearance the original Pathfinder went to the back of the shelf in the studio, to reappear now as an wardrobe classic essential. Timing is everything when finding our pathways.
Twin button placements, pleated cuff for the sleeve hem with button details and a shaped faced hem and just the right amount of hand finished detail stitching to keep this design understated and just that little bit stylish. Relaxed and roomy when worn loose, add a belt if you wish, but we prefer it this way.
Your Pathfinder Shirt Dress will be custom made for you in our Stitchery in Dayboro Qld Australia. A production space will be allocated to you at the time of ordering and will take approximately 4 weeks to reach you. Should you need, your purchase includes a bespoke customisation appointment (by phone/email or in store). This is to ensure your garment fits just right for your needs.
Our linen is 100% pure linen fabric that has been sourced from ethical and environmentally friendly European manufacturers. Fabric is guaranteed to meet the OEKO textile standard for the human-ecological safety of textile products in all stages of production, with socially and environmentally sound production facilities.
Each garment we make is traditionally stitched using enclosed "french" seams, on vintage industrial machines we rescued and restored, for a quality finish and useful long life. You'll find the inside is as beautiful as the outside.
